On Saturday, December 3, several members of the LVYP Kiwanis Club helped out Opportunity Village with their annual Great Santa Run. The event ended up having 8,123 Santas and helped Las Vegas take back the record from Liverpool, England. Volunteers helped with volunteer check-in, check-out, and both set-up and clean-up. We were one of two groups, the other being UNLV’s Circle K, that stayed until the end to help with the event. Not only did the event prove to be a lot of fun, but we helped a great organization in Opportunity Village, who helps out developmentally disabled children and adults throughout Southern Nevada. Sound like a fun group to work with? Why not join us on December 19 or 28 at Opportunity Village’s Magical Forest.
