On Sunday, December 4, LVYP Kiwanians braved the cold to help staff the UNLV water station at the Rock n Roll Marathon. The largest and final event of the marathon circuit, the LV RnR Marathon had a total of 44,000 runners…and they were all thirsty. Along with members of the UNLV community and UNLV Circle K International, LVYP Kiwanians handed out water to the runners at mile 23.2 (for the full marathoners) and 10.1 (for the half marathoners). The group was praised for their hard work to not only hand out the water, but to also make sure that their area in front of the Wynn & Encore was cleaned up so they could reopen Las Vegas Boulevard. Somewhere in the mass of runners, LVYP’s very own President, Sean, was running hard and finished the half marathon. Go Sean!
